Pasadena ISD names Aquatic Facility after Masters Swimmer, Dennis Shippey

Good news happened last night to a good Masters swimmer, Dennis Shippey.  Pasadena ISD named their new aquatics facility after Coach Shippey.  I attended and it was clear that this was a heartfelt decision by their Board.  Most of them knew Dennis personally.

Dennis was a long-time Senior Games, YMCA and Masters swimmer competing for the Woodlands Masters Swim Team.  His accomplishments were extraordinary, as was his humility.

Dennis was also a recognized Texas High School Swim Coach and a member of the 101st Airborne Rangers.
